Chulalongkorn Medical Journal is an official journal of Faculty of Medicine, Chulalongkorn University. It aims to publish original peer-reviewed contributions related with various aspects in the biomedical and health sciences from experimental to clinical topics. Original research articles, short communications, review articles, case reports, and letter to editor are welcome.
The journal is supported by the Faculty of Medicine, Chulalongkorn University, who covers the cost of publication on behalf of the authors on acceptance of their article. Contemporary studies including basic research, clinical trials, studies of diagnostic accuracy, studies relating to behavioral, therapeutic, or epidemiological aspects of medicine, public health, environmental health, and health and social care are welcomed. We also welcome research from disciplines across the health sciences.
Chulalongkorn Medical Journal requires authors to be in compliance with the recommendations of the International Committee of Medical Journal Editors (ICMJE) for the conduct and reporting of scholarly work in medical journals. Chulalongkorn Medical Journal follows international standards, guidelines, and flowcharts provided by the Committee on Publication Ethics (COPE), the Council for International Organizations of Medical Sciences (CIOMS), the World Association of Medical Editors (WAME), and the Council of Science Editors.
All manuscripts submitted to Chulalongkorn Medical Journal are first evaluated on the basis of scientific quality, originality, appropriateness, contribution to the field, and style. Suitable manuscripts are then subject to rigorous, fair, and rapid peer review.

The Chulalongkorn Medical Journal is a double-blind peer-reviewed, open-access journal dedicated to the publication of original research articles (all areas of the biomedical and health sciences), short communications, review articles, articles on biomedical sciences, perspectives on medicine, case reports, and abstracts related to biomedical matters. Chulalongkorn Medical Journal is published quarterly and aims to publish articles of interest to both physicians and biomedical scientists.
Chulalongkorn Medical Journal has been a nationally and internationally distributed journal with a long history of landmark articles since 1954.
The title of the journal ‘Chulalongkorn’ is very well known both in Thailand and in the global community as it is named of the best and the first university in Thailand. It is named after the King Rama V or King Chulalongkorn (1853-1910), the great beloved King, who was best known for abolition of Siamese slavery. The Chulalongkorn Medical Journal has published over 60 issues successively for the last six decades.
The publication costs for Chulalongkorn Medical Journal are covered by the Faculty of Medicine, Chulalongkorn University, therefore authors do not need to pay an article-processing charge for each article accepted for publication.
